Fire Fighter II Academy, 02

Scope/Overview:

Provides advanced knowledge and skills to successfully complete Fire Fighter II certification exam. Fire Fighter II is a 40-hour program, with prerequisites of Firefighter I , Hazmat Awareness,Hazmat Operations, Vehical Extrication and Flamable Liquids and Gases. LPG alone will not work.

Mostly hands on training.

  • Hazarous Materials First Responder: Awareness Level

  • Physically Fit
  • Vehicle Extrication
  • Vehicle Extrication

Accredited Certification Level:

There is a certification test provided immediately following the successful completion of this course.

Standards Met:

NFPA 1001, Fire Fighter II, 2002 edition

Student Equipment:

Full PPE and SCBA (must be NFPA compliant); Spare Air Cylinder (current hydrostatic test); Hearing and Eye Protection; Essentials of Fire Fighting 5th Edition and Study Guide; Strategic and Tactical Considerations on the Fireground, Brady Fire, 2nd Edition; Vehical Extrication, IFSTA, 2nd Edition.
