Fire Fighter I Live Burn

Scope/Overview:

Provides basic skills and knowledge to safely and effectively extinguish fires at the Fire Fighter I level.

Special Features:

A Live Fire Evaluation will be conducted during this course; the course work will usually be followed by an open Fire Fighter I Certification test.

Course Length:

8 hours

Prerequisite(s):

  • Meet training requirements of NFPA 1403, NFPA 1582
  • Physically fit.

Accredited Certification Level:

There is no certification level with this class.

Standards Met:

NFPA 1403 and 1001 (Fire Fighter I level)

Student Equipment:

Students must bring: Full PPE and SCBA (NFPA compliant), with spare cylinder (current hydrostatic test).
