Structural Fire Fighter

Scope/Overview:

Introduces basic fire fighter skills that prepares students for live fire training and emergency responses that may involve structure fires. The 48-hour training is specifically designed for small municipal and rural fire department personnel.

Special Features:

Performance-based skill training that may be followed by a an additional, eight-hours live fire training component--"Structural Live Fire Training."

Course Length:

48 hours

Prerequisite(s):

  • Meet training requirements of NFPA 1403

OFST Structural Fire Fighter

NFPA 1403

Student Equipment:

Full PPE and SCBA (NFPA compliant) with spare cylinder (current hydrostatic test)
